Using a Raspberry Pi, USB speakers, button array, RFID-reader, and a laser cutter, this ongoing project is a simple way to let kids play music and control what they listen to. It started off with just the RFID reader and some RFID cards--a visual way to distinguish between songs and playlists. Then I added buttons and housing. The next version included a handle, volume knob, and cool hardware. In the most recent version, I've added a LCD display, RGB LED buttons, and storage for the RFID cards.
