Some of our U.K. counterparts on the Lift London team designed and fabricated a surprisingly small, custom PCB that could run the Cortana SDK. Our team was asked to explore some possible uses. I started with a simple cube with a button and speaker, just to get a feel for it. I then explored a simple wearable "buzzer" concept, which felt closer to something that might be useful. With further improvements to the board and some additional components, we could create a portable, rugged, and low-cost assistive device for workers who may not always be around a PC or mobile phone.
